Thankful & Grateful
Every November we give thanks for the many blessings that are bestowed on us –the gift of life, family, children, and friends. Indeed, we often hear family, friends and acquaintances offer remarks of thanks and gratitude, especially at Thanksgiving. Among the most popular remarks and quotes include:
“I’m grateful for what I am and have.”
“What if today we were grateful for everything?”
“Be present in all things and thankful for all things.
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.”
Now that Thanksgiving is in the rear-view mirror, it is so easy for us to take these blessings, mentally file them away, and move on to life’s next chapter–Christmas.
However, what if we made a paradigm shift – changed our thought process – and genuinely lived our daily lives with thanks and gratitude in all that we do – at work, school, home, and out in the world. Perhaps, in these post-Thanksgiving days, we can offer thanks and show gratitude today and every day to all we meet. Everyday.
Friends, we are truly blessed and privileged in this Country…. every day. Let us remember to give thanks – today, this holiday season and every day in the future.
